How it works

Four calm steps.

  1. 01

    Drop your file

Drag the PDF containing your tables onto the upload card, or click to pick it from your device. You can also paste a link to a file hosted online.

  2. 02

    Confirm detected tables

We highlight detected tables on each page. Adjust boundaries by dragging if you need to.

  3. 03

    Let us do the work

Our engine extracts each detected table into its own worksheet in a few seconds. Nothing leaves the encrypted pipeline while it runs.

  4. 04

    Download the result

Save the Excel file to your device, share a temporary link, or send it straight to Google Drive or Dropbox. Files are wiped from our servers within one hour.

Why PDF to Excel

Built to be the last pdf to excel tool you try.

One sheet per table

Multiple tables become clearly-named worksheets – no manual copy-paste.

Quality that holds up

Number formats and dates are recognised so totals just work in Excel.

Private by default

Uploads travel over TLS, files are encrypted at rest, and every trace is deleted within 60 minutes. We do not read, index, or train on your documents.

Fast on any device

The heavy lifting happens on our servers, so a Chromebook, an old laptop, or a phone all finish the job in about the same time.

FAQ

Questions people ask.

Will merged cells survive?

Yes, when they are structurally merged in the PDF. Visually-merged headers are recovered heuristically.

Does it work with scanned tables?

Yes, OCR runs first. Accuracy depends on scan quality; 300 DPI or better is ideal.

Is PDF Books Lib really free?

Yes. The free tier covers everyday use – you can convert several files per hour without an account. Pro unlocks larger uploads and batch jobs.

What happens to my files?

They live in an encrypted staging area for at most one hour, then they are permanently deleted. Nobody on our team can browse them.

Do I need to install anything?

No. Everything runs in your browser against our servers – Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS and Android are all supported.

Is One sheet per table free to use?

Yes. One sheet per table is free on the no-signup tier with no watermark added to your files. A paid plan only lifts batch and file-size limits for heavy users.

Do I need to install software or create an account for One sheet per table?

No. One sheet per table runs entirely in your browser - there is nothing to download and no account is required to get started.

Are my files private when I use One sheet per table?

Yes. Uploads travel over an encrypted connection, are processed in an isolated pipeline, and are permanently deleted from our servers within 60 minutes. We never read, index or train on your documents.

What is the largest file One sheet per table can handle?

On the free tier One sheet per table accepts files up to 100 MB. Larger documents are supported on the paid plan, or you can split a big file first.

Does One sheet per table work on mobile and every browser?

Yes - One sheet per table is fully responsive and works in Chrome, Safari, Edge and Firefox across Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS and Android.

Will One sheet per table preserve the layout of my PDF?

One sheet per table keeps text, images and structure as close to the original PDF as the target format supports, so little manual clean-up is needed.
